Following on from our design work for Refugee Support and their Dignify fundraising evening, we were happy to attend the event itself. It was a great night run by the volunteers of Refugee Support, supported by some amazing acts and the generosity of the Bedford pub in Balham.
The acts on the night included Jem Cooke, Ian Shaw, Mama Moonshine and Blingo. This was interspersed with some talks about the efforts of Refugee Support and how money raised on the evening would support their Dignity centre in Cyprus.
One of Refugee Support’s founders Paul Hutchings had this to say:
The #Dignify event was a sell out success. Not only did over 300 people have a great night with fantastic entertainment but we raised enough vital funds to open another of our pioneering Dignity Centres in Cyprus. Our Centres are critical in helping refugees and asylum seekers to rebuild their lives.
The event was a great success with over 280 tickets sold and raised over £47,500 from the night alone.
